ANSWER:

You may give the amount in charity on his behalf if he is Muslim or with the intention to cleanse your wealth if he is not muslim. 

Sheikh i came short of money and i asked a shopkeeper that i will give him that money later but due to lockdown i was unable to give him his money. And now when i went to his shop i come to know that he has changed his shop and i do not have his address or any phone number so that i return his money. What should i do now? Should i give these money to poors on his behalf?
