Sheikh: For example in todays world there is alot competition so it raises two queries: 1. I will get whatever is decreed for me, irrespective of doing or not doing my field certification or self growth to compete others 2. I should work on self growth by doing my career certifications and i should rely on hard work for competing others Please advise what islam says in this regard

ANSWER:
Everything was predestined 50,000 years before Allah created the universe.
No one knows what is written for them. This means that if you sit home and die, this was predestined and you have only yourself to blame for not working.
And if you go out and work and make money, this was also predestined.
