This is the interpretation of some books of Tafseer, that the “lah’ow” means
the wife and the son and that Allah wouldn’t do such a thing. Had he wanted
to do such a thing, He would have taken a wife and a child from his own
creation if he were to do such a thing and this is impossible.

Other schools of Tafseer said that this is not intended and the meaning of
Lah’ow is not known in Arabic to mean a wife or a son except in a rare
dialect.

Therefore, the most authentic interpretation is that Allah didn’t create the
heavens and the earth for nothing. Had he wanted to play, he would have done
this without you knowing it but this is impossible for Him as He is the
Mighty and the Glorified One.

Sheikh, can you please explain the below Ayah. I read translation but could not understand the meaning: Surah 21 Al Anbiya’; Part 17 ,Ayah 17 :- Had we intended to take a Pastime (i.e. a Wife or a Son), We could surely, have taken it from us, if we were going to do (that).
