At the time of the 4 Imams, the only means of getting hadeeth was by travelling as they didn’t have printed books. That is why the more the Imam travelled, the more he could obtain more hadeeths and get more knowledge.
Imam Abu Hanifa was the least in travelling among the other 3 Imams. That is why he always said that if the hadeeth is authentic, you should disregard my own opinion.
