It is forbidden to pray 3 rak’ah witr like Maghrib as the Prophet salla
Allahu alaihi wa sallam forbade this.

Therefore, you should offer salam with the Imam when he concludes the second
rak’ah and then pray one single unit with him for witr.

Sheikh, among our Pakistani community there is a very big confusion going on about Witr prayer. Below are the confusions:The witr in which 2 Raka’s are prayed separate and one separate cannot be prayed because we are Hanafis and we can’t pray like that.There was some shaikh who said that the person should not do salaam once two Rakas are over. Keep yourself in Tashahud and once imam starts that third raka (I.e. Single raka) you stand up and join them. Please tell us how to pray witr?
