ANSWER:

The first one, because the later one follows the Hanafi timings where Asr is delayed.

As long as the time for that prayer has entered, you can pray regardless of whether the athan has been given or not. 

Follow the prayer timetable of Umm al Qura of your city and pray accordingly.

 

Sheik here in India we have two different timings of Asr Azaan. Some Muazzins say Azaan around 3.30 to 3.45 pm and some Muazzins say around 5pm. Which is the correct starting time of Asr Salah? Is it 3.30pm or 5pm.? Kindly guide sheik.
