Shaykh, what is the islamic view on psychological disorders like autism spectrum disorder, bipolar, schizophrenia, and the like? Are the people with these disorders considered to be one of the people who are pardoned due to some sort of mental illness? My little brother has Autism, which causes him to Act irrationally at times. Does autism exist in islam? Or is it not accepted?

ANSWER:

This depends on the situation, if it is severe or not, if they can learn or not.
Autism is three levels if I am not mistaken. The last level are not accountable as they have the brains of a child

I have seen mnay Muslims when they greet they say the salam and when they depart apart from the salam they say please make dua for me, is this asking for dua from the sunnah? is it correct to say so?
