ANSWER:

There is no preference on which foot to use while going up the mimbar. 

If this brother fails to provide evidence from the authethic hadeeth to back his claim, he must not be allowed to bad mouth the Imam as this brother is an ignorant imbecile. 

Shaykh, is it a confirmed sunnah to step on the mimbar for jummah with the right foot first. This brother in our masjid verbally attacked the imam because he saw him for 3 consecutive weeks step on the mimbar with his left foot
