Recently i watched a movie (which had a little too much show of hindu idols) and i felt really guilty and said o Allah i will not watch such movies (no intention of oath) Is expiation for this oath possible? Do I need to declare my intention to the receivers?

ANSWER:

As long as you addressed Allah, this is an oath. You must abide by it as watching such stuff is prohibited even without any oath!

If you didn’t verbally utter it and it was only in your mind, you don’t need to expiate but it is still sinful. When you feed the poor people you don’t need to tell them anything.

Sheikh, Verily I know that listening to music is not permissible, though is it permissible to listen naat sharif which is moulded by musical instruments?

I heard that is it haram for our kids to watch Peppa Pig the cartoon? And is it haram to buy the pig toys?
