ANSWER:

This is lying and of course not permissible! 

This is not good parenting as you are setting a very bad example of lying before your children. Kids learn more from our actions rather than from our words, so even if you teach them that lying is prohibited in Islam while you yourself do that, your actions would speak louder than your words!

Recently I told my son (just to scare him and see his reaction) that I will go to his grandma’s house and I’m not gonna be back ! Does this mean anything ?? In fact if I say this to anyone in the future, would it mean anything ?
