In Saheeh Al Bukhari, Ibn Ma’soud may Allah be pleased with him said: At the time of the Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam. We used to say: Assalamu alaika ayuha Annabi wa rahmatullah wabarakatuh but after his death we used to say Assalamu Ala Annabi wa rahmatullah wabarakatuh. Though saying the first one is also acceptable as it was reported in the hadeeth of Omer Ibn Al Khattan may Allah be pleased with him, yet the first one is more recommended. In the hadeeth of Omer, we are not addressing the Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam but we are offering our salutation to the Prophet knowing that Allah has appointed an angel delivering our Salams to him.

Plz tell us what should we recite in tashahud instead of “… As Salaamu ‘alaika ayuhann Nabiyu…” & why?

At my madrasa and my local mosque near school the imams both read dua after the fard prayer and everyone else cup their hands and say ‘ameen’. I recently discovered that Prophet ( peace be upon him) never did this after every salah with the raising of the hands and reciting the dua. What do I do?Shall i say ameen to this even though this is bidah or ignore and pray my sunnah prayers.

When I make my intention for salah I don’t pronounce it by mouth which I know is wrong but I say in my heart “two rakah for fajr” and when I say Allahu Akbar something tells me that I didn’t do my intention properly or I didn’t say Allahu Akbar properly Then I start again and again.So can you clarify about the intention. Do I have to actually say it in my heart for example “2 rakah for fajr” or “3 rakah for magrib”. I know this is satans whisper what do i do sheikh. Some times it takes me 10 or even more to start the prayer. Please advise and clarify these for me.
