ANSWER:

This is all baseless. When a child dies, a mother can mourn the child for three days and that is it. A widow on the other hand must mourn her husband for 4 months and 10 days.  Clipping the nails and shaving is permissible in all cases.

My question is,do we have islamic rituals that a mourning mother should perform because i heard that she is not allowed to clip her nails or shave. any dalil on that?

Is it true that rewards of Quranic recitation, dhikr (reading surah Ikhlas 11 times or surah fatiha 3 times etc.) can be sent to a person who has passed on? I have seen people gather to recite Quran on behalf of somebody who has passed, to pass on rewards to them. Is this valid?
