...are from the same family but are related to you I guess further away. My question is, are they included in those whom Allah (SWT) commanded to keep good relationship with? And what about if you try to keep good relationship with them but they don’t want that?
If they are not your mahram, you shouldn’t contact them. However, if they are females, you should connect with them every now and then but not as frequent as your uncles, aunts and cousins. If they don’t want to contact you, call them every week or so and this should be enough.
