ANSWER:

This is absolutely not permissible. The child must only be given his father’s name as the second name. 

The child is only allowed to have the name of the mother if he’s illegitimate!

My question is regarding a friend who has confusion on naming children,she wishes to name her child with the name of both the parents,as in she wants to include her own name along with the name of the child and husband is this permissible?

I know that displaying pictures with faces is haram. I want to inquire if it would be OK if I put on my wall or office picture of my, my husband’s and my sons hands making dua or picture of our backs or our shadows as we look at the horizon. I was given a gift, it was ayatul kirsi. It has fancy writing with glitter on it. It is ment to be hung up on the wall. I know putting it up on the wall is disrespecting the Quran, so what to do? Should i burn it? Should keep it without putting it on the wall as it is a gift to me?
