It is permissible to change the name to what it was before especially if you have relatives that still carry this name so that lineages would be recognized!

my paternal grandfather changed the family name mullah to something else. this is the name my father,uncles etc. and i carry. Do we have to change it back

One of my neighbour has reverted to islam since 7yrs.she was a buddist and she came into islam bcos she loved a muslim n wanted to marry him.she is practicing islam now along with her husband in India but her parents think dat she is still a buddist.so when she goes to her country, she pretends as if she is buddist n listens to her parents bcos they will feel bad.now she is confused about wat is right and how to behave with her parents n how to inform them dat she is a muslim .and may be if she informs her relationship with them may break.how and wat shud she do?
