ANSWER:

He is not responsible for paying your zakat however if you authorize him and he willingly accepts, this is permissible.

My parents have given me gold jewelry for my nikkah which is more than the nisab and I have to pay zakat. is my husband responsible for this zakat or should i pay on my own ?
