My mother is passed away,Can i offer her (Qaza Namaz) missed prayers?. During lifetime . Or what deeds i can do for her?

my friend mother’s brother died.now they want to feed people and read Quran by is name sothat the dead person get reward.my question is is it allowed in islam? Sheikh,I would like to know if Hazrat Ali gave bath to Fatimah binte Mohammed Sallalahu Alaihe wasallam after her death. Reason for this question is because here in my city in India Marriage is considered to be dissolved after the death of anyone of the partner & they become non mehram.Hence it is not allowed to see each other after the death.
