ANSWER:

You must not listen to her in this regard at all and must say it respectfully but firmly to her that you won’t hear anything about your husband or your married life from anyone. Whenever she starts to talk about him, either change the topic or leave her.

It’s not permissible to cut communication with her but you can limit it.

My mother hates my husband for no reason and wants me to get a divorce cause we only have one child! He’s always good to her and respectful but she keeps pushing me to divorce my husband who is a great husband and a father? What should I do? She depresses me about it!
