ANSWER:

First of all, she can’t give in her will to good deeds more than one third of her wealth.

Secondly, if she allocated 1/3rd of her wealth to good deeds, your father can’t use that to go for Umrah or hajj as he is one of the heirs and can‘t benefit more than his share in the inheritance.

This money should be given to the poor and needy or to orphanages and masjids etc. 

My grandmother is died. Before her death, she wills her money to use in useful sector so that she can gain thawab. She gave her money to my father. Now my father wants to go to makkah for umrah with that money. Because doing umrah is a good thing. My question is, can he use this money in this way? Because my grandmother also did hajj and my father also did umrah and hajj.
