He should object to his father and to the headmaster as such beating
is not recommended. He must not leave this good deed for the mistake
of a teacher as this is exactly what Satan wants.

My freind requested me to ask you that yesterday his Madrasah’s Teacher beat him very hard because he did not read Quran with Tajweed and now he wants to leave the Madrasah… and you have told that is is not necessary to read Quran with Tajweed… And he wants your opinion… [And the teacher has beaten him hard many times].

When I was younger I was sent to a madrasah for memorizing the Quran. However I was young and immature and was only doing it because of my parents. So I forgot it. Now I’m in medicine school and I can’t memorize because it takes a lot of time. Moreover it’s greatly stressing me out because I’m doing it out of guilt and fear of punishment. Will I be punished for this?
