My father wants to disturbed his property in his life so is it allow to divide in life.

My father passed on 4 months ago. While we are processing the required paperworks for his estate as he did not leave a will, we want to share and distribute to charity some of his clothes and personal belongings. Can we go ahead with this for now as the paperwork does not affect this.
