You need to maintain minimal contact with them and check on them without giving them a chance to talk to you about such matters. 

My family tried to make me atheist, they were saying there is no God, estagfirullah, that there is no point in praying. I was new im praying,recently started, and it was hard for me to keep my imam i started to question myself is there God. Am i allowed to avoid them and am i cutting family ties bcz we arent talking to them that much and they never sent us message?
