ANSWER:

Fidya can only be given if doctors say he is chronically ill and will never be able to fast again for the rest of his life. He had a whole year to make them up and he is sinful for not doing so. He must repent to Allah and make up these days as soon as he is able to. Working in such a place is prohibited and the earning is haram.  

My dad works as a manager in a supermarket where halaal food and things like alcohol and pork are also sold. He fasts every Ramadan fasts now but he has missed Ramadan fasts in the past because of sickness it seems.Now he can’t make them all up the past Ramadan fasts he missed because it would be too difficult healthwise for him to make it all up.Can fidyah be valid using his manager income?
