If doctors say that you will recover and be able to fast, you must not  give Fidyah and you must wait until you recover and able to fast and  make up you r missed days.

But if they say that you will never be able to fast, you may feed the  poor in your Muslim country.

Last year (July, August), I had two major brain surgeries. Because of that Dr told me not to fast. I’m Bangladeshi Canadian, want to give fidyah in back home. Could you please tell me the ruling of giving fidyah from foreign country to original place? With the grace of Allaah, Alhumdulillaah I am slowly improving, please pray for my complete recovery.

I have to make up 6 fasts. But the only time I can fast is from June 1st. It is predicted that Ramadan will start on the 6th or 7th June. If it starts on the 6th, I will not be able to make up all the fasts. What should I do as it is not possible to start my fasting before June 1st.

I want to fast during Ramadan but I don’t want my family to know I’m fasting. We often have our meals together. Is there anything I can do as a substitute of fasting?
