ANSWER:

This is not recommended as you are making obligatory upon yourself something that Allah did not obligate you with, but if someone has vowed to do something halal, by taking Allah’s name, he must fulfill it. 

I’ve seen many people taking vows, such as If I get this job I’ll offer 30 rakahs of voluntary prayers or if I get an A plus I’ll give this amount of money in charity. Does Islam support it??

Few years back, i had a Mannat(Nazar) that if I get job I will visit the tombs/graves of 3 Sufi saints very popular here in Pakistan. Can I go there and say my salam or recite fatiha or just for a short presence. If not, what would be the alternative to my mannat?

From my understanding yameen refers to during in the past e.g. wallahi fulan did such and such, but nadhr refers to the future e.g. wallahi I will do such and such, but I am also confused. Can you write the definition of both if possible??
