ANSWER:

Allah has given us free will and it is upto us to choose to stay away from sins or to commit them and pave our way to hellfire (May Allah protect us). We don’t know what Allah has willed for us and hence we have only ourselves to blame. 

It is said that nothing can happen without the permission of Allah (SWT) so do we do sin with the permission of Allah (SWT).

Sheikh if the son is going in a very bad direction (Smoking,zina, disobedience to parents, negligent with salah etc) could it be that this is a punishment for the parents of this son because they also committed such sins when they were younger but Alhamdulillah they repented
