If a person was punished by the prescribed punishment, his sin would be washed away!

Is one due to serve the punishment of a sin after sinning, and then asking for forgiveness sincerely, whether in this dunya or akhira? or is the punishment of the sin he has committed washed away for him?

i did hajj this year n did it according to sunna n tried my best to get reward of it, but as soon as i finished my hajj i started to get very very bad waswasa about allah ,rasulallah cant even mention. Its continuously troubling me n m getting irritated n it is leading to the sins more than before. I am trying to seek refuge with Allah and to be steadfast at Salah but why its happening n what is solution?

Every time I advice friends when they do something Haram and tell them that Allah swt forbid this, they respond back to me by saying, “Allah swt looks at heart; as long as ‎you have good heart, then its enough.”
