This is a false statement. Some of the sahaba were really wealthy, the difference is what you do with the money you get.

Is it true that Allah does not give wealth to a good pious muslims. Is it wrong to focus on excelling in our profession to earn wealth to spend in good causes for sake of Allah and to help the society?
