Lowering your gaze involves not looking at people that are exposing their bodies and may tempt you. Looking at cars, scenery and nature is permissible.

Is it permissible to look outside your window,or stand on the landing outside your door and just look out due to boredom or just for the sake of it, i mean does it come under lowering ones gaze
