This depends.

If you are building a whole mall and then selling it without having the design to include cinemas, this is permissible because you are not responsible and you also don’t have knowledge to what they will be using it for.

But if you are actually renting it to places that sells haram or deals with haram, this is not permissible for you to do.

If you also rent a place and then lease it to someone who does halal activity in it, this is halal.

Is it permissible to invest in malls in general and especially in non islamic countries. The malls in these countries consist of cinemas,and food court wherein some of shops may sell alcohol.
