It is not mandatory to change the white hair but it is a highly recommended Sunnah because the Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam had some white hair and he didn’t change it and so did some of the companions. Therefore, we learn that this is not an order but a recommendation.

Is it obligatory to dye your beard if it has a lot of grey in it or even some grey ?
