It is not mandatory to know the translation of the Surah you are reading but it is highly recommended

Is it obligatory for every Muslim to know the translated meaning of Quran i.e. the surahs im reciting during prayer. I’m non arabic speaker.

Is it permissible to print only the Surah Al Kahf with translation as we can see Surah Yaseen alone in small booklets. Please forgive me if i am wrong and it is due to my ignorance.
