3 Rajab 1441

Is it from the Sunnah to say “Waa Anaa” when the mu’addhin says, “Ashadualla ilaha illallah wa Ashhadu anna muhammad rasulullah”? Please can you confirm if its authentic or not. Thank you.–

ANSWER:

The Sunnah is to repeat whatever the  mu’addhin says. This is what the majority of hadeeths stated. There are some narrations of the prophet salla allahu alaihi wa sallam saying wa ana ash’had but scholars say that this was only for him.
