is it permissible to use a soap with one of the ingredients being haram animal fat, if we do not know for certain whether the fat has or has not been changed into another substance? Is it sufficient that it has a name on the ingredient list such as “sodium tallowate”, meaning the fat has been mixed with sodium to form soap?
