He had a lot of sufi influence on his thoughts. He was centuries before Ibn Rajab and Ibn Al Qayyem.

Is imam ghazali a sufi scholar? if yes, then how come he has written books on “taqwa” and ” tazkiyaat an nufoos” with imam Ibn Rajab al- Hanbali, Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawziyya?
