ANSWER:

Nikah is much better and recommended as in the case of engagement, they are non mahram to one another and can’t communicate.

Is engagement better or nikkah in case when u r going to get married after 4 to 5 years bcz some people say it is not permissable to do nikah for that long without the actual Marriage?
