No. Even if someone dies in the battlefield, it’s not permissible to call an individual as “Martyr”.

In our country, if any police dies fighting a criminal people call him a martyr. Those who died in the liberation war between Bangladesh and Pakistan, we (Bangladeshi) call them martyr. Can we call them martyr?
