ANSWER:

You must strike a balance between both. A real man doesn’t beg or stretch his hand asking people to provide for him! The upper hand is better than the lower hand that takes. 

Allah has put the responsibility of earning and providing for the family on men so it’s not permissible to neglect this at all while fulfilling all your religious obligations, like praying on time all the five daily prayers, fasting etc.

I’m unemployed now but I’ve an opportunity to get a job. As I’m free now I’ve time for salah and doing other good deeds but i think that when I’ll be employed, i won’t get time to do relegious activities and I’m also in need of job. So please guide me, should i do work, or work for the akhirah?
