If your mother in law is not living in your hometown, you can shorten the whole period. But if she lives in your same city, you have to pray full prayers.

I’ll be leaving for pakistan tomorrow and staying with my mother in law for 16 days, we do visit them every year atleast, tell me please should i pray the full rakahs for each salah, or can i shorten and join the prayers.
