One must perform wudhu if it is not sufficient to perform ghusul with that water.

if someone uses tayyamum to remove the state of major ritual impurity and then goes to the toilet, time passes and he then can use water to perform wudu but not ghusl. Can he perform wudu with this water or must he perform tayyamum again?
