ANSWER:

Yes, you must sit and pray if the imam started his prayer sitting down. 

You have done your job by advising them about the correct ruling.

If Imam is sitting and praying and I tell others to also sit and pray,but they don’t listen and pray standing. What is the ruling to this ?? As a follower of Imam, can I only sit and pray when no one listen the authentic ruling?
