If I give a loan to someone and they give me their house as security deposit, is it permissible for me to make use of the house while maintaining the house.

Are Muslims allowed to buy house in the US using the conventional banking system? If not, how is a Muslim supposed to get a house if he has many children and the apartments has become smaller to accommodate everyone. Even renting a house is difficult to get and if you’re lucky to see one for rent, it’s very expensive than buying a house and paying a monthly mortgage.

My friend is affiliated to “Company A” and he said me if i buy one product (which costs 250 dollars) from “company A” then he will give me a loan of another 250 dollars to buy another product. Is this transaction based on riba since i heard that there is a hadith which says it is haram to combine a sale and a loan..i want to know if my transaction is same like combining sale and loan?
