It is Fard Kifaya, which means if a group of Muslims do it, this is sufficient for all but if not one does it, they are all sinful. It is composed of 2 units like Fajr prayer but instead of having one Ruku in every unit, there are 2 ruku. This means that the prayer is composed of 2 units with 4 ruku and 4 sajdah (prostrations)
