This is permissible if the needy person gave him the permission to keep it for him until he collects it providing that the person already has it in his possession.

If a person gives zakat-at-fitr only to one specific poor person and that person says keep it for me in your home and I will collect it some other time. Is that zakat-al-firt acceptable?
