This is an issue of dispute. I am inclined to say that this is not part of the Muslims’ traditions or customs and it is entirely imitating the disbelievers.

If there is music and free mixing, there is no doubt that this is totally prohibited.

Iam from india.please pray for me to pass my final xam result. Is there sin in wearing graduation gown ( as now it has become a normal among people. And most degree has adopted it)?.i would like to know it so if it is haram ,i can find a way to not attend the graduation ceremony by making some excuses.
