These are not sins as long his heart is full with respect and love to the Quran! However, one should avoid it out of respect.

I would like to know that if a person turns his back to the quran or points his feet towards the qibla, is this a sin ?

i work as a bus driver in a non muslim country. when passengers enter the bus i normally greet them first before they greet. and when i meet my other colleagues when driving i greet them by waving my hand first. is it allowed? or do i have to wait until they greet me?
