No, it is not permissible to join this army if they ask you to shave your beard. 

I was planning on joining Bangladesh army, where the beard has to be shaved for 4 years during training. However, after training they allow the officers to keep the beard. Is it halal to apply for the army in such a scenario? What is the ruling?
