Both are considered to be Fard.

But when a person is residing and has not legitimate excuse to skip Friday, he obliged to pray it.

If he has a legitimate excuse – as in the case of illness- in this case, Thuhur becomes Fard.

I want to know, which salaah is fadr, is it Dhuhr or Jummah salaah?

On Friday, I go to college and the teacher has gave me enough time to pray Dhuhr but not enough time for Jumma jamat. For example, my lunch starts at 12:45pm and finishes at 1:45pm, Dhuhr azan starts at 1:05pm and the Jumma Jammat starts at 2:00pm. Can I pray Dhuhr instead?
