This was said to make them understand that the idols have no power and they can’t speak or help themselves.

I know lying is not at all permissible in islam.Everything in quran is also truth but one question is coming again and again in my mind that in surah al anbya whem abraham(ibrahim) broke the idols.He left the biggest idol and when people came to him then he blame everything on the largest idol.SO HERE WHY HE DIDNT TOLD THE TRUTH AT FIRST TIME THAT HE DID THAT?
