ANSWER:

We are allowed to mourn for up to 3 days but there is no prohibition on cooking.

Sending them food so that they don’t cook in these 3 days is from the sunnah.

I know it’s haram to cook food for 3 days in a home if a member has passed away.My mom’s sibling passed away.He lived along with my granny & my other uncle.So,is it haram for me to eat food cooked in my home although I live in a seperate home & not with my granny for 3 days?And can I go to my granny’s place & eat the food that is sent there by the relatives?
